That’s was thoroughly engrossing. I felt I was along for the ride in Greece. Do you remember us all barrelling down a laneway in Ireland on our way to The High B.
Loved the details about your writing adventure in Greece and the hilarious account of your COVID beauty quest. Ditto for all the news about films in development and recent books.
Wonderful Helen, and many thanks - I felt the sun on my skin as I read about Greece. Loving the literature and festival news. It gives me hope for life after this pandemic.
Hi Helen, So enjoying getting a fuller view of you and your world! The mix of story telling and gossip and festival stats is satisfying. And thanks for the Nia shout out! :) Yup, not sure they'd be ready for a TikTok version. Hmm.
Refreshing trip to Lesvos - makes the writing life look sunny and fun (and why not). Weary of most newsletters in my inbox but Letterbox is a newsy mood lifter.
Love these, Helen. Just started reading with the last one. The personal storytelling and the news roundups alike are great to me!
This Noah Baumbach news is tough for me, because I have always half-wanted to read White Noise and now I will feel bullied to put it at the top of my over-stuffed list. The content machine keeps churning.
Thanks, Johnny! That trailer is great, I'll have to try Devs. Do you watch it on Hulu or somewhere else? Yes, indeed the content machine keeps churning...
Yes, it's spelled both ways. And Mytilene is spelled multiple ways...just to confuse the first time traveller especially in the chaos of the Athens airport where the gate is changed every 10 minutes and only announced in Greek (:
Thanks, Helen

Thanks very much, Bev!
Just reread this while waiting for your next post. I would just LOVE to be in Lesvos! Especially with you, Aviva and David.

Thanks, Martha! x
Love this so much Helen! Made me think of David Layton and Priscila and the experiences that hold us all together. I'm so happy for you. Congrats!
Thanks, Joanne x

We’ve been really getting into Devs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp9LMsI6uJ8
It’s fascinating.

I'm afraid it's an Apple purchase or via your cable subscription to FX, the last network to not be available on a streaming service in Canada!
If you have Hulu US, then yes I think it's there.
Thanks for the heads up. Will look for it on Apple.
Dear Helen,
I assume that Lesvos is also known as Lesbos?
You have the correct first name for your Greek adventures
And indeed yes re the first name (:
